We almost always have someone bring a boxed wine when we have a gathering. The one that starts with and F is awful. Bota and Black Box Cab are fine with me but I'm far from a connoisseuer. I like Aldi's Shiraz ad Trader Joe's Cab.

I still have some boxed wine left over from my wedding reception in 2000. It's still good. The aluminum skin goes down with the wine and keeps air from the wine. Every once in a while I try it to see if it's still drinkable and, so far, it is.

I've only seen pretty marginal wines in box packaging. Might be better selections elsewhere, but not here.
