Wow, visiting was daily for me, then I fell off the wagon while visiting the U.S. for about 5 1/2 months, in the State of Maine. I was back in Australia for about 6 weeks, and now I'm traveling again. I am in Dong Hoi, Vietnam, and will be here for 3, possibly 4 months. Like Australia, religion is pretty insignificant here. Most are atheists, a 12% Buddhist, 8% Catholic and 1.5% Protestant. I love being in a place with virtually no evangelicals.
I really enjoy the people and the culture of Vietnam, and prefer north of the former DMZ, culturally the South still shows the effect of the U.S. troops. I get very tired of being offered female company at hotels, I am not a sex tourist! Never happens in the North.
Hope you had a good summer in Maine. Enjoy your travels.
