We have not been in charge of that region for a while. The Kurds are fighting the war on ISIS for us. ISIS is basically finished Russia and Turkey will have the say so in the aftermath. There isn't much of a point for us to be there. I am not a fan of Trump but I am a fan of good decisions.
This is basically the same thing that happens when my SO makes a dumb statement and wants me to back them up. Then they get upset when I don't. Just because I care for you doesn't mean you're right all the time. Just because I don't like Trump doesn't mean I don't like the decision.
Yes, it is difficult to put aside the fact that decision was made by him though. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Corporations who are counting on getting Oil rights adjacent to the Golan Heights to drill down and grab the oil.
A reduction in driving miles and the change to Electric Vehicles (EVs) is reducing the need for oil, which shows in low cost gasoline. Reports say the oil companies are investing in renewable energy, to diversify. China is making the most EVs, with Tesla coming in second. Tesla already makes about half the lithium batteries in the world, and that proportion will grow. Tesla has a contract to build a 2.27 GWh battery in California, previously Tesla installed a 129 MWh battery in Australia. Tesla's battery business is growing faster than its car business. Every battery for power storage makes the world greener, because they make power generation more efficient, economical and greener.
I would add that the Democratic politicians want perpetual war too, just like the Republicans. It's good for business. Hating Trump about this is tribalism on the side of Democratic Party voters. All the mainstream news, including "liberal" media like CNN and MSNBC, among others, have all of a sudden become war hawks. As have some Democratic Party voters. I should say have ONCE AGAIN become war hawks. Do we remember their coverage of Iraq? People need to finally understand how this system works. It's astonishing that most voters don't seem to see it. Maybe the non-voters see it.
Side fact: the picture being used is of Carl Weathers and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie "Predator".
