LDS leadership excommunicate former bishop for protecting children. "Praise the Lord???"

This is common place, even when I was a TBM here was a small and very vocal minority speaking out against such things.
But bringing the church in to disrepute by telling the truth about it has always been an excommunicatable offense.
In recent years many items of church history have been admitted as being true, leaving hundreds to wonder why they were excommunicated for pointing out these exact same things years before.
The church is on it's last legs, and while being still VERY rich, the "active" membership has been steadily declining everywhere except in third world African countries and having spent some time speaking to a Somali missionary in my home town, the church they know is not the church I was a part of. When I asked him about the banning of blacks from the priesthood until 1978 he had no idea what I was talking about and his seething red faced Utah born companion rushed him away insisting he had never heard about it either.
