Blue Law in ND: Living in a theistic black (reduced light of reason) state.

As the only US state with this law (most stores must remain closed on Sunday so people can go to church) this law is again in the news. . . Reminds me of a radio interview years ago when the law was softened to allow stores to open later Sunday afternoon (before that change, all 24 hours of Sunday was off limits to shopping so people could worship god without being distracted.)

The governor was taking questions over phone and a lady from Grand Forks called in to tell him what a great job was doing except for one thing. . . . God was angry at North Dakota because he allowed ND to soften the Blue Laws and let stores open in the afternoon. In fact, god was so angry that god was punishing her with a list of terrible things including her cow now gives sour milk.
