Dwindling tolerance.

Like many, I suppose, the gym I attend has multiple TV screens, all on different channels. Something for everyone. But today - for the first time that I was aware, one was tuned in to a Joel Osteen wannabe. I bristled as soon as I saw it, went to the front desk to retrieve the remote, and got rid of it ! I find I'm getting more and more sensitive to this nonsense being every-damn-where, and in places it simply does not belong ! Just imagine if ALL religions felt the need to advertise the way the geezus gang does. eesh !

Good for you for speaking and acting out. We need more people like you.

I would never go willingly to a place with a blaring television, and certainly not where there were multiple TV’s. How can you hear anything?

Usually they're turned way down, with the subtitles on. Not a problem.

You can get polarised glasses that block out led screens as well.

Proud of you for doing this. I've been doing the same thing whenever I go to the doc, the dentist, out to eat. Anywhere there is a TV, if it's on faux noise or something religious I ask that the channel be changed or do it myself.

I would have been annoyed, too.
