Young Sheldon's dad was Leonard Hoftstedders bully in high school. Same guy, Lance Barber, played both roles.

I kept trying to place him.
The character was played and dressed so different.

He added a bit more southern accent as Sheldons dad too.
@Anonbene Annie Potts (MeMah) is by far my favorite on Young Shelton.
She's pretty much played the same character her entire career.
They write the roles to her.
