Got Podcast?
So the current administration has driven me completely away from news. I got sick of showing up to work pissed off. So I now listen to podcasts on my commute. Do you have any good ones you enjoy?
Here is what I enjoy:
-Radiolab: they focus on the ethical implications of technology and how it effects our lives
-More Perfect: they do a deep dive on the supreme court and the impacts it has upon our lives
-Snap Judgement: random stories that are very relevant to the human condition
-Spooked: it is Halloween and everyone likes a good ghost story
-Mission to Zyxx: total fantasy but it is like half spaceballs and half standup
"Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me", the NPR News Quiz show. Both informative and funny. They even correct themselves when they get something wrong, which is more than I can say for most major news outlets.
I may add it to the NPR One app. But, have not listened to it yet. There is only so much time in a day.
The drunken peasants podcast
What is that about?
Everything, it's hosted by the amazing atheist on youtube
Well Red, it’s the Liberal Refneck and his touring buddies. Sometimes offensive, sometimes substanative. Usually funny.
The guy from the fb post
Trae Crowder is awesome. Not only is he funny as hell, he also explains politics in a way that a fellow redneck can relate to, which makes him invaluable to Democrats for the coming elections. His recent explanation of how the end of net neutrality will effect the common man is pure gold.
One of the reasons Democrats keep getting their asses handed to them in the heartland and deep south is because they have lacked a voice who is capable of connecting with those voters. Well, now they have one. And they better figure that out real quick, or they're going to get their asses handed to them again in those areas in 2018 and 2020.
'democracy now' if you really want to be depressed
This focuses on all sorts of topics.
