When you work and pay income tax you pay taxes on that money that goes into social security. Do you feel that social security funds should not be taxed again when you receive them?

Only a portion of the benefit is potentially taxable, and you are taxed based on the total of your taxable income.

it is all taxed when earned and partly taxed when received.

@Marine However, your benefits received are much greater than your contributions.

They should not be taxed, but other income should be.

I vote for tax free Social Security. The millionaires receive all kinds of breaks on their taxes which we are supporting with our tax payments.Trumper has removed one of the most important tax deductions for the average person ie medical deductions. Everyone should contact their congress people and ask that this deduction be reinstated.
