It was his money and he can use it to help others in need if he wants to. That shows he is on the right path. The only thing that could make this bad is that somewhere inside he knows that his invisible sky daddy is smiling on him for this and will bless him and help him. Take away a sky daddy from it all and this deed is about perfect.
