This wonderful man set the bar very high for how an ex President should behave. To bad trump is staining the office with his vulgarity.

A great man. One of the most honest Presidents in history which may have damaged his effectiveness. But, still, as we are seeing now, we do need honesty for the most part or things fall to shit, especially with someone who lies over 5 times a day on average.

@creative51 He was definitely my favorite president, if ‘too good’ for the job. I watched a program about him recently.. where they began at ‘his church,’ I cringed. I think the battle he’s been fighting is between split factions of ‘baptists,’ him having chosen the least radical side … but it’s difficult not to see him make a full leap to atheism, as it appears he’ll go to his grave linked to religion.
