Damn.
I almost cut my hair off yesterday.
One thing about long hair, is that you can put it up under a hat or with a hair tie and clip for a few days, whether a man-bun or lady-bun, and when you let it down, if it feels like having an old friend back again, you might choose not to cut it. I have long hair, and I would feel like a different person if I were to cut it short - could be a good thing, but until I'm tired of being my current person, I'm not inclined to change it.
I shaved off my facial growth a few weeks ago. I've had those bushes constantly since I got out of the Navy way back in the last century (love saying that because it sounds so....). It was not a wise move. That is, it made it all the more apparent that I am justified in growing it back. What stared back at me from the mirror was definitely a Lovecraft creation.
As a recovering Mormon, I have to say men are generally more attractive with facial hair.
I've learned that after a certain length, my hair becomes unbearably knotty. I cut it when it starts getting unmanageable.
I have a goatee and "almost shave it" frequently. I'm always glad I didn't. Your hair looks great... but it's yours to do with as you choose. One thing about cut hair, it will grow back.
Guess nearing 60 yrs old is taking a toll on me.
There isn't any good reason for anyone with nice hair like yours to do that.
