What’s bothered me more than anything is that the same people namely the democrats who want to convert to expensive green technology and mandate expensive emission control equipment also want open borders which has resulted in us having a much higher population and depletion of the countries resources. Hell the Catholic Latino’s encouraged by the church continue to have large families and pour over the US border and that contributes to a damn good portion of our excessive pollution and carbon emissions.

The "Latino" immigrants are poorer and have a smaller carbon footprint than richer Americans, and how do you think the Californian grape crop would be picked without Mexican immigrants. As countries get wealthier the birth rate drops. Italy, the home of Roman Catholicism has one of the lowest birthrates in Europe. To sustain current ppulations a birthrate of 2.1 is needed. The developed Western countries currently average 1.6 so in the future you will need the immigrants

@Moravian If you don’t think the Latino imigrants aren’t increasing the carbon footprint here in the US significantly you are badly misinformed.

So you think a Mexican immigrant living in a crowded house and driving a second hand pickup,if he is lucky, has an equivalent carbon footprint to a wealthy snowbird with two houses and a huge mobile home ?. Anyway you are very selective in your responses. What about the fact that the USA with 5% of the worlds population uses 30% of the worlds resources. A move towards sustainability is long overdue.

@nvrnuff I’ve yet to see a single semi of farm tractor that runs on electricity so I think we have a ways to go yet.
