This was in my email this morning. Someone had to have signed me up for this. Of course I unsubscribed. About a month ago, I found out a prominent consultant in my field had gone to Liberty University. She's Canadian so I wondered if perhaps there was some OTHER "Liberty" university somewhere in Canada so I asked her about it and worst suspicions confirmed. I doubt she played this little joke on me but perhaps someone who saw our online exchange.
Years ago I was consulting in educational publishing and happened to see a series of textbooks being produced by Liberty. That "school" has practically no reason to exist---their explanation for EVERYTHING is JEEBUS DID IT.
I’ve had reason to pass through ‘Lynchburg VA’ a number of times. It gives me the creeps ... religious spires to the sky ..with just a sprinkling of academia, and constant expansion Billboards, street names.. I even feel the local police are linked with that creepy so-called university. Yuck.
I remember driving through Virginia and there were a LOT of religious radio stations.
@DeStijl Religious radio seems to be ‘a thing’ in ‘the south.’ I was deep into North Carolina yesterday and it sounded even worse ..as I went through the local stations. It’s a nightmare, I’ll listen for awhile, trying to imagine how the locals are being affected. That, and all-out political hate radio are killing this nation…
Isn’t that the University owned by that crackpot trumpster Falwell?
Sorry if I missed an explanation on this site at some point but I see a regular usage of Jeebus. Is that supposed to be a joke of some kind or are people afraid to say Jesus?
Why do you think anybody on this site would be "afraid" to type out "Jesus"?? I've always thought "Jeebus" is funny though I also like "Jesus H. Christ" and "Christ-y McNichol."
