@MrLizard and I are looking for a good home for Sonja. She's around 10 years old, very loving and playful, completely updated on her shots, micro chipped, spayed and has a recent clean bill of health from the vet.

Have you looked at local animal rescue groups? One I've been impressed with here in rural AZ is United Animal Friends although they specifically were focused on dogs
.
They put on adoption events, vet prospective recipients and help with advertising. They are volunteer and do good work.
