The cafeteria at work serves corn muffins with chili and not cinnamon rolls I've immediately put in my two weeks notice I cannot work in such a hostile environment
(I'm joking about quitting but this is a very serious offense in Kansas)
I took a Southern friend to a diner in Boulder that had Red Eye Gravy on the menu, which he ordered, and then he gave the waitress a 5 minute lesson on what Red Eye Gravy really is.
Wow. That's just soooooo wrong. I would file a formal complaint at the least. The nerve. In Kansas of all places!!!
I would file a complaint. Clearly the chef is not a midwesterner and doesn't know how important this is
Ikr I mean, this is KANSAS we eat our chili with cinnamon rolls lol. I don't mind if they have cornbread but ALSO have cinnamon rolls.
@LadyAlyxandrea I have never even thought of having a cinnamon roll with chili. Can not wrap my mind around it, I like chili and I love Cinnamon rolls, but not together. Wait are you putting chili on the roll or is the roll on a plate and the chili in a bowl?
@dalefvictor roll on plate chili in bowl break off bits of the roll and dip it in the chili. Harmony! Perfect balance of sweet and savory. It's a midwest thing
I thought cinnamon rolls were only served with chili if you were having it for breakfast.
You’ve got to have the right breakfast beer to go with it.
Oh heavens no. It's most certainly an all day meal.
I can't say I've ever heard of eating cinnamon rolls with chili but I have eaten plenty of corn bread . Are the cinnamon rolls the type with the frosting on them ?
They’ve gotta have the frosting!
You need to get out of the cornmeal rut and try the cinnamon rolls
It is a sweet and savory combo that is a staple here in the midwest
Cinnamon rolls should be a requirement, regardless of there being chili!
There was a fundraiser here, that involved cornmeal waffles and chili that I can’t get out of my mind ?
What fresh hell?
