Equal Opportunity Hater. I am against the Left. I am against the Right. They both can be wrong you know. You don't have to choose. Or do you? Am I wrong? Or is everyone else?
Unfortunately, you’re not alone. You may not understand how our government works. And, you likely believe we’re more divided than we are.. There remains a hard-pushed Republican agenda that promotes division; divide & conquer - it works.
In our system of government, the party primaries is where it happens. Who participates? The Driven. Thus, they basically control each party, especially the Republican.
Democrats are more varied, scattered, tolerant and inclusive. But they’ve also got their militants. The R’s long ago purged their party of moderates, those now make up the mass of “Independants,” thus they lean ‘conservative.’ Discouraged by both parties, Independent's vacillate..
What you’re hearing are the loudest voices. Extremists, they drive sane people away. Worst, they discourage them from participating … creating an atmosphere in which it appears you must ‘explain yourself,’ or ‘your vote.’ You don’t - you owe them no explanation.
But voting for a candidate capable and willing to do the most, for the most ..isn’t always sexy… And heading off to vote on an awkward Tuesday in November can take some effort.. But if we don’t, we’ll get what we got ~
by the way, how can you be an atheist and religious? your profile says you are both. that's like being a vegetarian and a carnivore.

Easy. Religion has been a hobby of mine for decades. Christian, Judaism, Islam, Satanism, Hinduism, Wiccan, Paganism. I enjoy learning and even participating in the rituals. But I believe not (well 99%) in a supreme physical being. The arrogance factor and Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle will forever keep me 100% on anything. Therfore I am both! Back to politics , I used to be a Liberal Conservative in the 80's. Now I am more of a Conservative Liberal. And I like your food preference analogy as well. I love red meat from beef. Cows who eat vegetables that builds their muscles that I eat. I am a carnivorous vegetarian! See...all is possible if you just open your mind a bit!
@IrmaBast my mind is plenty open, but you have to be careful that your mind isn't so wide open that thoughts pass right through without stopping. being interested in religion is NOT the same as being religious. eating a vegetarian animal also is not the same as being a vegetarian. so you see, all is possible if you just ignore facts, reality and legitimate simple definitions.

yes, you're wrong. sometimes you don't have to see both sides. sometimes one side is wrong. no one is right all the time but there is a difference between sometimes getting things wrong and being a corrupt criminal organization with bad intentions. if the right and left look the same to you, there is something wrong with your vision.

Hey g! I am trying to get used to the format of this forum and see I am replying to your responses out of order! Apologies for the posting that made you assume I think both are the same. Nothing could be further from the truth. I just receive that both camps (if you will) are both intolerant, uniformed (un educated if you like) , closed minded, and set in their ways to any opposing dialogue. In that respect I do think they are the same. They only differ on the subject matter presented.
@genessa I apologize. I do over use and misuse the word feel at times. I'll usually ask How do you feel? When a What do you think? Or what are your thoughts? would be a better fit. If some one is physically ill I'm also apt to asked How do you feel? I didn't feel....I mean think ... your responses were emotional, but I can see how my poor word choice could convey that.
