I saw a black cat in my back yard . Thought it was a neighbor's cat , and told it to go home . It kept showing up . One day I was watering the window boxes on the side porch . I was thinking , "Man the birds are noisy today ." Then I realized it wasn't the birds . Tiny kittens do not like to be watered . Momma cat had crawled under a black wrought iron tea cart and had a litter of 6 kitties . I went back in the house , collected a box, a towel , and drained a can of tuna . I set the tuna in front of Momma cat , folded the flaps into the inside of the box , then folded the towel to fit , and moved the kitties into their safer and softer home . It was a hot day , so I turned the ceiling fan on low , so they'd get a gentle breeze . And that's how I became the old cat lady , in the castle on the corner .
How sweet of you making them safer and more comfortable!
