Basic hand tools to have around your house. Below you see a basic set of tools you may want to have around the house. Now, guys are probably going to want more but generally speaking these will fill most of your needs. Better quality tools will last longer. An assortment of nails and Sheetrock screws is another handy thing to have in your tool box.

Oh...I have all of those and more...I even have my own leather tool belt! And, I know how to use them all! I also bought some crazy gadgets that work well...an awl, a hand punch, a small dry wall saw, a putty knife, and a tool box...all of my screws and nails are sorted and in little boxes...I think this set would make a nice gift for a house warming gift to new homeowners! Thanks for posting!

@Wildflower Thanks to my awesome dad! He gave me my own hand tools when I went off to college...lol...all of the tools were pink...I have since upgraded to better quality...
