We're gearing up for 12 inches of snow . . . And I'm hunkering down at home this weekend. I need some recommendations. What is a film you've seen at least THREE times? I thought this might be more effective than asking people to choose one favorite film. Please feel free to list more than one.
While You Were Sleeping
Little Miss Sunshine
Burn After Reading
Wonder Boys
LA Story
@orange_girl We have the same taste in movies. These 3 are different genres.
Enjoy!
I’m watching Arrested Development on Amazon Prime.
More then 3?
Corps Bride, Edward Scissor Hands, Avatar, Frozen, Maleficent, Brave, The Iron Giant, Wreck It Ralf, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Grease, The Golden Compass, Big Fish, Cars, Little Shop of Horrors, Agora, Oz the Great and Powerful, All the: Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit. . . . . . The list goes on. . . .
@orange_girl Just finished running (again) the Star wars marathon a few weeks ago. 22.5 hours.
@orange_girl Big Fish is excellent. Brings to mind A.I. Another movie I've seen many times with similar reaction at the end.
@orange_girl For me, the ending is physically painful. . . hard to breath through silent tears.
Last of the Dogmen - Tom Bierenger (sp) as Lewis Gates, the sexist man in a movie, if you ask me. Great if you like rugged outdoorsy love stories. Watched this one over 20 times.
The Silence of the Lambs - saw this about 10 times.
Black Beauty - always makes me cry. I had my own Black Beauty a Tennessee Walker for 13 years until I had to put him down, he is still with me in my living room. I had him cremated and put in a nice big wooden box.
Nothing better than a good snow storm and some movies! Enjoy!
I used to live in Cleveland OH, I do not miss that snow. Film wise, there are so many choices but here are a few.
A few good ones classics:
The Holiday
Pretty Woman
Sleepless in Seattle
@orange_girl Yes and Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Jack Black
Forrest Gump
Cars (Because of my kids)
The Wizard of Oz (From my childhood)
It's a Wonderful Life
A Christmas Carol
@orange_girl Cars (the first one) is great!
@orange_girl There are three. The second one (I haven't seen it) is not rated well. The third is rated ok but the first is the one to watch.
I always like the original Time machine George Pal version, Forbidden planet 1956 for the special effects. Mars attacks! The mariachi band playing The Star spangled banner at the end of great. Soylent Green and Silent running reminds me of home. A clockwork Orange is good. Serenity damn reavers ?
Dangerous Liaisons...
The Wizard Of lies
Kill Bill
Reservoir Dogs
The Sting (original with Robert Redford)
The Rose (original with Bette Midler)
