While it is very worthwhile, attendance will be down from its peak. That's not negative, just part of the cycle What seems to be negative is the fact that there are various groups wanting to "own it". They need to refocus on the goals.
I donβt watch the stupid news coverage and BS that is created. Every year is great and gives me power to move on in this horrible climate and succed!
I wanted to go to the Denver march, but I committed to sing in a choir this morning to celebrate MLK. I missed it last year because my father passed and I was out of town. I'll be there in spirit!
I think we as humans should do more support each other. Iβll defininitely look for one in my area.
When the women's wave has swept the male domains and infused them with their touch β¦ will there be not more wars? Will women leaders stopped the manufacture of weapons and other futile toys?
That is my goal! Use of science for advancement of our lives not weapons! So much more needs to be done.
I will join the Women's March in Wenatchee, WA tomorrow. I'm excited!
Question? Shouldn't it just be #WomensMarch and no other political agenda otherwise you exclude some women. I'm assuming it's meant to be an inclusive march.
Itβs for womenβs rights and to make the world a better place. The right agenda does the opposite! There are some anti choice people that show up...
@goldrose so not inclusive. Neat.
@Biosteelman It's inclusive for people who want inclusivity. Republicans (not all), but mainly Christian conservatives are not for inclusivity, and therefor do not have be included. You do not have be tolerant of intolerance.
@BornAtheist you mean like [sanluisobispo.com]
When pro-life women weren't allowed to participate.
@Biosteelman Well... Why participate in the march when you are against one of the CORE issues for the march even existing? Reproductive rights are one of the core issues for the organization. That's like Bernie Sanders supporters trying to march with the Tea Party, being totally opposed to all their issues.
Wouldn't be too welcome.
@Biosteelman Don't get too caught up in the name of the march. There are political issues they are marching for and against. If you don't agree - create a counter-march. I know you are smarter than that.
@Biosteelman there are trump rallies others can go to. There is also the kkk march...etc. this one is not like those.
@Dave75, @goldrose, @BornAtheist
Names are what the whole issue is. It's not Liberal Women's March or Women of the Democrat party. It's the Women's March. But it doesn't speak for all women and not all women are welcome to participate.
It's a huge joke.
If Republican women held a March calling it the Women's March. But didn't allow Liberal agendas. You'd be all over them.
If the KKK held a Men's March...
So the only correct answer is no it is not an inclusive March nor does it represent all of women's rights. Only a portion.
There are universal rights all women want. Equal pay for equal work. Better system against sexual harrassers. No glass ceiling. A true Women's March would address these inequalities and not political agendas of taking down the Oompa Loompa.
