When I meet new people, I have three questions that I like to ask to determine if we are compatible as friends.
1-Favorite movie
2-Favorite book
3-Favorite album
if that's what it takes, we can't be friends. someone asked for my top 10 movites in the early 1990s. i stopped when i got to 138, and a lot of good movies have come out since then. there is no WAY i would be able to answer any of those three questions, and i can't possibly be the only one. besides, someone who likes the same music you like might still be a horrible person. it can happen.

I don't think I'll even qualify as a friend!!! ?
Fave movie(s) - Most Tom Cruise movies (A Few Good Men, Rain Man, MI (all), Top Gun, Jack Reacher (all), etc... He's my #1 Celebrity Crush!?
Fave book(s) - Glenn Kleier books (plus, he's like a father to me away from home.. literally.) Mystery, Comedy, Thriller, Suspense, (Homecoming by Cynthia Voigt, From The Memoirs of a Non-Enemy Combatant by Alex Gilvarry, Animal Farm by George Orwell, etc..
Fave album(s) - Above & Beyond: Tri State; Tiësto: ISOS: Los Angeles; ATB: Distant Earth, ATB: Silence; Madonna: The Immaculate Collection, Most anything by The Chemical Brothers...
If someone strongly listed a favorite for each, and did so quickly, I'd move on. Having just one favorite in a world of so many choices seems limiting, and likely a symptom of narrow thinking.
@Mitch07102, like I said, I don't qualify even as a friend! ?
