FOOD for thought, anyone?... confession: i ate an entire Sara Lee strawberry cheesecake with a spoon ... once upon a time, when my infant son was hospitalized with pneumonia and my 4yo daughter was with us in the room with a projectile vomiting virus... no family to help. do share.. what was the focus of your crazy-est food binge ?!?
French strawberry~
@Soarfeet Yes'mmm! Sara Lee-
Sadly, I do not need an emotional stressor to prompt binge eating. All I need is chocolate, fresh baked bread, pie, Alfredo sauce.....
@Soarfeet You said the magic word.
Right now, I'm snacking on Chex mix and Riesling wine! It's my cheat day!?
I’m the opposite, I tend not to eat when I’m stressed now. BUT, in college I ate a whole lot of Cadbury’s mini eggs during finals.
Key lime pie. Over a day, ate the whole thing.
I bet that has medicinal benefits of some sort?
@RavenCT Of course?.
My daughter-in-law always made me a sizeable box of fudge to take home with me. We live 200 miles apart or 3-4 hours driving time. I would eat the entire box by the time I got home. I finally had to tell her to please stop making me so much fudge. She now only makes me a small container for xmas gift.
By the way I love fudge and simply can't resist it when it is around me.
If there is a bag of Bassetts Liquorice Allsorts in the house, I can't sleep till it is all eaten and no one else in my home likes liquorice, so it's a rotten job but some one has to do it..
I read somewhere that an excess of Liquorice can have a very bad result for your health ,if I am not mistaken it could cause death and advised that it be eaten only in small amounts.
@Marine Death by licorice.... Not the worst way to go.
@Meili I still prefer to live as long as possible.
I once ate an entire 10 piece bucket of Popeyes chicken! No emotional reason. It was just soo delicious! This was back in the late 70s.
You can't say that about hardly anyone else's chicken but yes, you can never really have enough Popeye's chicken. I once made the mistake of ordering a 3 piece meal and then driving away. The 3 pieces merely whetted my appetite. By the time they were gone, I was half an hour away and didn't have time to go back. It was sheer agony.
