Too many clouds in INDEPENDENCE MO right now 6:38 a.m. CST
By the time it had turned red here in Mojacar, the moon had set behind the Sierra Cabrera, the 2,700 foot high mountain on whose Eastern slope Mojacar lies. I went outside in my pyjamas to check. The night temperature (5.30am) was not too bad for mid-winter, 14 degrees. (57F)
So thanks for your photo.
After getting poor photos with my iPhone, a friend set up her telescope and invited us to take photos with our phones lined up with the eye cup. Not bad for an iPhone photo, here from the beach on Kauai. The darkened moon really made the stars seem bigger/brighter. Lovely night!
Thanks to y'all for clear color photos.....dark and dusty painted on my sky misty taste of moonshine teardrops in my eye
It is cold here about -2, but I went outside to see the moon. Gorgeous
Vodka infused cocoa helps. ?
@Amzungu2 Nooooo, bourbon is better!
@Amzungu2 Is that why your phone had camera shake - vodka?
..... and here's me feeling sorry for you, thinking you were shaking with cold. ?
Too frickin cold here. Minus 37 Celsius with the wind chill. Brrrrr
Don't blame you one bit. That's COLD.
@Amzungu2 I posted this elsewhere tonight but it works here too.
@Science-guy Sure beats my photo!
It’s a little hazy in San Angelo, but I’ve been enjoying the show.
Photos. Also, It is only 50F here. Cold right?
@RandyMoose No. No, that is not cold, my friend.
@pasha-one-nine I had to break out my jacket.
@RandyMoose it's all relative! When it's fifty here, I'm still biking in shorts.
