Can anyone recommend a book, video or website that has a good explanation of secular humanism?

No book, but I understand humanist psychology. Secular humanism means caring for humanity without religious dogma. Humanism, we are all essentially one. My Opinion.

I enjoyed two books by Susan Jacoby: "FreeThinkers: A History of American Secularism" and "The Age of American Unreason." ( I suppose they would resonate most with people living in the U.S. and/or interested in American History.) The book "The Demon Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark" by Carl Sagan is another great read.

@BeerAndWine :excellent...don't take that as a sign they are low in value however!

It all boils down to the one commandment

Thou shalt not be an arsehole.
