Many years ago exiting a local supermarket I was approached by a young woman carrying an armful of Marxism Today. On the front cover was a picture of hundreds of sheep and the words of the caption printed below the picture: "Are you one of the sheep?"
Laden with four bags of shopping I politely told the young woman that I am not interested but she followed me to my car. After I put the shopping in the trunk of my car I spoke with her briefly. She asked me if I thought politics is boring today. Looking at her armful of copies of Marxism Today I told her that the front cover of her magazine had the best picture of Marxists that I had ever seen. Suddenly, she switched from being polite to being the most venomous person you could imagine.
The point being that you can take any photo and add whatever words you like to it to promote or decry that which you value or that which you loathe. Therefore, the above picture is to be taken with a grain of salt at best.
or, we could just laugh and not over think EVERYTHING.
@SkotlandSkye You might laugh or over think EVERYTHING or understand the culture of the people depicted in the photo.
@ASTRALMAX OMGawd. My point, obviously, was that you were over-thinking the meme instead of just chuckling like a normal person and moving one. Now your cries for "understanding the culture" just prove my point further.
Stop overthinking and just laugh....you will find that it's liberating not to have a stick up your arse....
@SkotlandSkye Clearly, a different sense of humor, I do not find it funny.
Here: The joke is in the caption. The manager is ordering and asks if a worker wants anything for their space. The worker(s) choose something whimsical and out of the ordinary (as opposed to common workplace items) -- clearly probably NOT want the manager had in mind. My comment of "career goals" is meant to enhance the idea of doing fun things at work to make a space more fun/user friendly.
Of course, YOU would have ordered paper clips and note pads.
