Some folks harbour so much ignorance and hate in their heart. Until mindsets like this are put to rest permanently humanity will never be able to achieve greatness.

Did you ever notice that some people always offer criticism but never show thanks ,agreement or humor!
@PalacinkyPDX No humor there but i know of people that never have a nice thing to say, never laugh. give a compliment or just seem to find any enjoyment in life and yet they have good jobs, are not sick but most likely have no friends or family.
@PalacinkyPDX I have also seen that side. I will just try to live as pleasantly as I can.
It is letting up some but people still want me to hate my ex. I suppose the first reason would be because she left me, but sometimes you go in different directions. It's no secret even to me that the real reason is racial. Dumb whites feel threatened by others, and usually for no reason.
@PalacinkyPDX Sorry. Cultures also have racial and class divides.
Wow. Actually using the military on your own citizens to enforce your religion and exorcise evil spirits from people you don't like. Wow.

In addition, [mayor] Mahyeldi reiterated previous statements about his government working with ulema (Islamic scholars) to exorcise LGBT individuals, due to the mystifying belief that it is a condition caused by jinn (genies or demons in Islamic mythology) inhabiting their bodies.
New Naratif has a great article on the subject in which they interview a gay man who endured one such ruqya (as well as many other “cures” ), which he described as involving being read verses from the Quran, being prayed over, getting pummelled, massaged, and bathed in holy water — “But it had no effect whatsoever,” the interviewee said.
At least the article does make it sound a little like the mayor is something of an extremist. Maybe he'll get reined in some. I'd hate to bet my society on that though.
We could find no other mention of the TNI assisting in Padang;s anti-LGBT operations besides previous statements made by Mahyeldi in November which he claimed that the military would help foster waria (transgender women).
