I love George Carlin but I think, at least I hope, we're not the finished article as a species. And aside from NDT's wonderful argument against us not being the only life in the universe, it is a bloody enormous place for just us, most of which we'll never see, so if we are alone...what a waste of space!

I love George Carlin and he's absolutely right about everything. It's so strange that we humans live in such an amazing universe filled with such great Beauty and yet we, as the dominant creatures on Earth, are pointless peons.
