Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I am not a fan of utilitarianism as way for an individual to live, however I think it does have a role in public policy. The advent of autonomous vehicles (unlike the Trolley) will mean that choice is taken away from the driver by the software that directs the vehicle. These cars are on the road now, but in the not to distant future they may be the only way to travel on major roads.
The car will have its ethics built in...
