On another post I had someone argue that Trump wasn't pro Russia with this line....
"If he’s so pro Russian why did he recently pull out of the missile treaty we had with them accusing them of violating it? Why is on on opposite side from Russia in world conflicts like in Syria and Venezuela? Trump is not pro Russian and you don’t know what your talking about."
I answered, but just to be clear could you in your own words explain why either you agree or why you disagree with this statement.
I consider it to be the most important issue of our time because it is the roadblock to solving all other global problems.
A U.S. withdrawal from the Treaty, justifies Russia doing the same, which allows Russia to build and emplace more Intermediate-ranged weapons on their border with Ukraine, and the rest of NATO. It is of no threat to the U.S. But it is a threat to the EU and NATO. It is a cleverly disguised boon to Putin's desires for territorial expansion. It makes one wonder if there isn't some truth to allegations of Trump being in the employ of Russian Intelligence.
Facts: When Trump responed to the Syria using chemical weapons on their opponents, he bombed an airfield that had a small amount of chemical stockpile on hand and a few Russians stationed nearby. The bombing did minimal damage to the airfield and was quickly repaired and operational. Pre-arranged location with Putin.
The second time Syria used chemical weapons on their opponents, Trump pre-arranged with Putin a surgical strike on an empty building that had once been used to make chemical weapons. But, it had been abandoned for several years and did minimal damage to Syrian or Russian intetests in the area.
Trump had to be forced to exact the sanctions on Russia, an action past by an overwhelming bipartisan vote. When he did, he selected several low level oligarchs (a chef included, no less) who were not necessarily important to Putin.
Need I say more about Helsinki. A study in treason to say the least. These are just a few. The long list of Trump's Russia ass-kissing would fill a overly long dissertation. He is most definitely not tough on Russia.
I am going to guess he will become dark (silent) as rational and informed thinking is not a skill many tRump supporters possess.
