I saw a documentary of the prison system, and the appeals court, where most of the inmates, as well as their families say something to the tune of "since I've found Jesus" yadda yadda. and a woman from the paroll board said something like, "I've never seen Jesus to be lost".
Although I don't believe in spiritual, ... well anything. I do understand where she was coming from.
I find it funny at just how many in the penal system do the , turn to Jesus thing.
IMHO, face up to what you did, and do what ever you can to not only better yourself, but to also make ammends to those you harmed.
Giving the whole "Jesus" card is worthless if one doesn't take action. JMHO.
That said, I also think the whole "Jesus" card is BS anyway..
My younger brother, who was a career criminal, said he found Jesus in prison and came out proclaiming himself some kind of minister. He looked more like a member of Islam, though, with his long beard. It was a scam, though. He was always a con man and this was just another con.
@sfvpool I've seen, and heard the same from many.
The thing to me is that "God" is the last "person" to win over, not that I believe in such things. But to me it's the people that one has wronged that require amends, not some "god" figure.
A neighbor had a bumper sticker that read "I found Jesus, and he's drunk in the back of the truck."
