What are you cooking today? I made potato knishes for the first time. I used to get them at Canter's Deli in L.A. and I missed them. There's no deli here, so it was make them or nothing.
My hemp biscuits had run out, so I made some more this morning, making up the recipe as I went.
2 cups unbleached flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 heaping tbsp hemp powder
3/4 cup Greek yoghurt
3/4 cup organic apple sauce
1 scoop organic strawberry jam
1/2 cup dark chocolate almond milk
1/4 cup avocado oil
(optional) 2 tbsp honey
Mix well, put heaping tsps dough on baking sheet, no separation between them
Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes
350 degrees for 15 minutes,
let sit in oven after you turn it off, for 15 minutes.
Break apart the biscuits and freeze in tupperware. Take out and use, as needed.
They remain too soft to freeze solid, taste delicious.
Note: this recipe contains hemp for medicinal purposes. If you don't want it, just leave it out.
