I watched 45s state of the union. All the calls for unity boil down to "Okay you beat me but can I have my wall anyway please. Go on, pretty please. Pretty please with bells on. Go on, pretty please with bells and a pink ribbon please, please, please, p.l.e.a.s.e.!!!"

It was painful, but not as painful as listening to and watching DT. And it was a lot quicker. I heart this SOTU was one of the longest. I did like the comedian Stephen Colbert's take on it when he said: "It was like watching paint lie." And another great line: "Anybody who was anybody who wasn't indicted was there."

I know what you mean. Ive almost stopped watching the news because I cannot stand him However I forced myself to do so as I was told to watch Pelosi and it was worth it. Kind of Hillarys revenge. As he spouted his well rehearsed crap. She was right behind him adding a visual running commentary on just what the bs meter was showing.
it was actually more insidious than that. it boiled down to "if you don't stop investigating me, i will start a war, and i won't sign any legislation." there was also a bit of "immigrants are murderers and new york lets doctors murder babies minutes before they're born," neither of which is true of course.

Those are the times when he turned a bit red and almost lost it...he gets worked up spewing his own lies...it was very scary to hear those threats and lies...dangerous...
And let's not forget how he praises ICE as heroes...protecting us from the unaccompanied minors trying to cross our southern border......the 'very dangerous' border, as Trump calls it.
@mojo5501 if he wants to be a hero, why doesn't he go down to the very dangerous border, armed with tear gas, and spray a mother and small child, to show how brave he is -- the real courage of course would involve being willing to be taped doing so, and then see how many trumpkins believe his denials.

@thinktwice only his physical presence in the white house... and i guess if you're a 13-year-old girl tied to a bed and being told your family will be murdered if you don't give the fat old orange man a blow job, that would be scary.

I believe others wrote the speech he read, done to promote the idea he really cares. It’s just a ploy to get what he wants and I don’t even think he knew or believed the words he read. He doesn’t care about anything or anyone other than himself and the fat rich white dudes that bow down to him simply because he can make them richer And he has.
Sorry if I rambled. Just had to get that rant out.
