Planning to stream some Albert Finney movies this weekend.

Suggestions?

I'm more familiar with his later works. "Big Fish" and "Erin Brockovich"

"Two For The Road" with Audrey Hepburn. It is a very well done, grownup relationship movie.
"Millers Crossing"...A really good gangster movie set in the 20's or 30's, A good movie with a great look.
"Tom Jones"...An adventure film set in a time of sword fighting. It won an Academy Award for best picture. This was his breakout roll.

I really love Audrey as well. Thank you for that suggestion. I have Tom Jones rented for the weekend and will purchase if I enjoy it.
I have seen Miller's crossing and enjoyed that.

I really enjoyed "Erin Brockovich"! How about "Annie", he was great in that as well!

The sparks between the characters were wonderful.

Have not heard of this one. What is the quick review?

@BufftonBeotch. I enjoyed. Typical dramatic Albert Finney. Strong performance

saturday night and sunday morning; tom jones; the dresser (you'll become a tom courtenay fan too -- come back and ask for a list of his best, and meanwhile watch unforgotten on pbs).

I'll see if The Dresser" is available.

That was at least nominated for Best Picture?

@BufftonBeotch if i recall. if not, it should've been! now, it would have been better seen on stage, and it shows, but the performances make it all worthwhile.
