Hey, everyone! Bought a new book. It is,"god is not Great," by Christopher Hitchens. I love it, already. And, I had to buy,"The God Delusion,"by Richard Dawkins. I checked it out at the library, but, need my own copy for references. I also read, and, bought,"Atheist Universe. The Thinking Person's Answer to Christian Fundamentalism." By, David Mills. On a wonderful, and, continuing journey into Atheism. How about you all? ???????

I'm glad you found these! My copies are dog-eared, highlighted and yet, I still take a look every now & then, when finding new ways to dispute old arguments from theists! ENJOY!

Same here. And, thank you.

I are no reader and needed no books or anyone else to rationalize logic.I was twelve when I stopped going to church I had lived next door to the local priest/vicar for six years and went to church three times on Sunday. This was 1962 way before Richard Dawkins It was only having seen his TV interview I realized he was thinking like me.Years before this I had seen Richard do a series of Chistmas science lectures on the BBC TV.
I found the hardest self question at the age of twelve was.Why are adults going to church and believing in a god,of course they are two completely different questions and have many answers.

Absolutely!

Hitchens "God is not great" is an important milestone on his work as a writer and critical thinker. If he grows on you (I think it will) then you may want to learn how he got there. You may want to read next Hitch-22

Okay, thank you!

Dawkins is one of the greatest minds alive! Friend of mine got his copy of The God Delusion signed by him. I'm jealous.

And, he is such a gentleman when confronted by those religious crazies.
