It is truly a small world. I know the Dunns - or at least used to. 30 years ago I lived in Garland, TX and worked with his wife - she was a over-the-cube-wall neighbor of mine at the company we worked for. We were young software engineers and she was an ace software developer.

I argued vociferiously on Facebook with her over Trump. I was apolitical on Facebook until Trump - preferring to let things go. She was a big Trump supporter. I got off Facebook shortly after the election

I didn't know Scott very well - other than as her spouse.

It was extremely disheartening to me to see how someone who was quite intelligent (she would rank in the top 5 of software folks I have worked with, ever) could be so much in the Trump camp. Yeah, I know it is Texas and all that (my nickname for Texas was "Plastic Baptist capital of the world" ). It is not surprising that crap like this came from Scott. Years of brains hooked up to Fox News IV juice will do that to people.

I think several of their kids are more liberal -- but this is just based upon my observation of their interactions of FB (vegan, animal rights, etc.) and not direct knowledge.

AOC is far from a bimbo. I follow her on twitter/instagram and have seen her interviewed. She is sharp, thoughtful, driven, intelligent and open. She more than holds her own in every interview I have seen. She didn't take PAC money and she knows what it is like to NOT have money. The fact that she has bartended and otherwise worked wherever she needed to make it makes her even more appealing. She has become the lightning rod for the conservatives -- resorted to name calling and trying to make everything about her an issue.... Misogynistic and racist idiots on the loose.

She is what the Democrats need right now.

I still fail to see how AOC is in any way a "bimbo". The City of Richardson needs to force Scott Dunn to resign.

I do, however, love the fact that she scares the shit out of those who don't know what to do with her. That's why they attack her. That's why they're making up lies about her, and STUPID FUCKING memes.
She's young, she's intelligent, she's a woman, and she's a woman of color, and she's not scared of any of them. She's got no use for the expectations of deference. She's there to make changes.
