And they were nasty. I had the same one for 7 years . I also had 88 in my class half one grade the other half another.

I recently attended the funeral of my late sister in law. I new nothing of her upbringing apart from the fact that she was born and raised in Ireland. It was a humanist funeral and the celebrant said in her eulogy that the poor girl had attended a Roman Catholic convent school and the nuns had treated her so badly that it had put her off religion for life. So the nuns do serve a useful purpose after all.

I heard many horror stories. The best, an old friend who used to have to leave room on his seat for his guardian angel. I asked him about heavyset kids. He looked blankly and said, "It wasn't pleasant." Like a horror film.

9th grade. The principal, who was a nun, chided me when I came in to the office with a paper cut. "Oh okay, I'll just bleed all over my text books." That changed her tune.

Yup, had one like that in 4th grade. She'd break pointer sticks over students bodies.

Most nuns I had weren't that bad (not like the one pictured here). I can only think that those that were bad (mean and nasty) were probably sexually frustrated since they either were still virgins or never had the love of a man that comes with normal human needs. This is probably why so many Catholic priests are being exposed as sexual perverts with young boys. The Catholic faith is really screwed up this way unlike the Protestants that allow marriage for the clergy.
