I am both a big opponent and advocate of Valentine's Day. I would never skip it when I am with someone. It will always be fun even if there is just a bit of time. At the same time, I hate that there is the Hallmark obligation, because I do not need a special day to do something special. That happens all year long. It's not a birthday or anniversary or random day I get flowers or say let's go out to dinner. It's based on a saint(?) and not always convenient. I'll go the extra rounds for a birthday and so on, but why Thursday?

The song goes " Every days a Holiday and Every Night is a Saturday Night." Another being 'Birthdays' which I abhor as a false recognition of affection.
