I should sleep but I am too excited. I have to drive all the way up to Scotland tomorrow. I think its about 200 miles. It takes 4 hours anyway. There is a service station on the way and when you go in there is a sign on a door that sats, 'This door opens'...always makes me chuckle. I just love it. Its certainly true that Scottish people are much friendlier than these grumpy gits round me.
Holiday day...bags are packed. My partner has banned me from taking my Surface pro, I have my phone but virtually no signal up there. Full tank of diesel, food in the cupboard for the boy. Got to get make-up, toiletries and meds in that order. Got some new stuff to wear and we will be on our way. I'll chat as I can and send pics. Love to all...I haven't a Scottish bone in my body but every time I drive up there, I feel like I am going home.
I love Scottish people they have such a great sense of humor. You know Donald has a golf course somewhere in Scotland and there is this old man who refuses to sell him his piece of land that is adjacent to the golf course, and he is like a tramp with lots of rubbish on his property right next to Donald's golf course. I think someone should give that guy a prize.
Oh yeah, he's a local hero.
I loved Scotland and the friendly people that I met way back in 2002.
2015 was my visit. Wonderful.
I'll be back next December again....until then....kiss a Scottish tree for me
I will. I'll take pics
