this is why i am not a morning person.
i woke up to the sound of my dog, ramona, whining, looked out the window because she only whines when someone is at the door (she only barks when teyve forgets he's neutered and tries to satisfy penny) and saw the cable guy's truck. the scheduler on the phone (at five this morning) had said that the techs don't call before they come unless you make a note, that she would also make a note to have a box in the car to replace my broken one, and my cell phone number so he could wake me when he was on his way. he emailed me, knocked on the door instead of ringing the bell, then called my land line, which i didn't hear, and when he came in he said that techs ALWAYS call before they come, but later revised that to mean they email (not helpful because i don't email in my sleep), and that no one had given him my cell phone number -- not to mention he didn't have the right box for me in his truck,so he'd be back WHENEVER. so right now i am waiting for whenever.
meanwhile, i decided to make use of the time to call and find out why i had not received my prescription, ordered over two weeks ago. turns out i have to wait for the pharmacy to call and say my order has been received from the doctor and then i have to order the order, myself. thing is, they called the land line, which 1. i mostly don't answer because it's in the other room in the charger unless i am using it for outgoing calls, and 2. i won't hear anyway if i am out, and 3. doesn't have voicemail. so there is no way they could leave me a message and thus no way i could know that i have to order the order that my doc already ordered. what i would like to know is why it doesn't work like this: 1. the doctor orders it, 2. they fill it and 3. they send it to me? i have no copay. it's all covered. i'd also like to know why they have my landline number and not my cell phone number. i went through this a couple months ago and they said my cell wasn't on file. my cell phone number has been on file with them for 16 years, long before i even HAD my current landline. i corrected it then. so why are they still using the landline? inquiring minds need to know. inquiring minds are very sleepy right now....
