On the progressive liberal front, I am a bit concerned that 20 plus people look like they will run for the nomination. I hope it sorts out quickly. And to get my 2 cents in, I don't think we need another 70 year old as president. I really would like to see some new blood, new ideas.
What do you think?
I'd love to see some new blood and fresh ideas. Unfortunately once people start voting, it seems like they vote for reasons that have very little to do with fresh ideas. Half the contenders will drop by the wayside in short order.....and if Joe Biden throws his hat in - I suspect the dems will end up standing behind him because they see his chances of taking trumpty dumpty down are the greatest. ???? Gonna be a loonnnnng election season - we'll all need a major vacation!!
Oh no. Joe is too old imo. So is Elizabeth and Bernie. How about someone under 60?
@Bigwavedave I agree about the age thing - but watch what will happen.... In the end it will come down to a popularity contest between the reality tv guy and whoever can be as "entertaining" as he professes to be. totally snafu....
I wish Iowa weren't always first The population is 90% white and hardly a real representation of the population as a whole.
Plus, it is a caucus in which even fewer people participate.
I do think it will shake out pretty quickly.
I agree we need fresh meat.
But I do have a soft spot for Bernie and actually went to one of his speeches, interesting he did not make the ballot in SC.
Barrack Obama had made an early campaign stop 8 years prior in the same location, and I regret no going to see him.
I knew he was going to be President when he made the keynote speech at the convention in 2004.
He definitely had, make that still has the IT factor.
And I miss complete sentences and complex thoughts.
Dont we all
My sentiments exactly...we need fresh ideas and unique approaches.
We need the 20 and 30 year olds voting.
@slydr68 I agree absolutely
I'm backing Kamala.
I think she is a good candidate . I like her a lot.
