I want your opinions.
Do you guys think what Israel is doing to Palestine is right? And what India is doing to Kashmir is right?
I think Israel has gotten way too much unearned slack in geopolitics because of their trading in the whole "god's chosen people" thing. Even god's chosen people have to act with moral integrity and kindness or face the music. Or at least that's the way it SHOULD play out. Now that 'Murica has abrogated all moral leadership on the world stage, or even competence, who knows.
I don't have an view about India and Kashmir as I don't follow it. My impression is that there's plenty of blame to go around -- India, Pakistan, local insurgents.
I don't. I live in a country where part of it was planted with foreigners and the natives expelled to make room for them. The Jews should understand this too because the northern part of their country was deported and the land planted by foreigners too. But a sense of your own self-righteousness seems to trump justice very time.
Two different places. Israel is not only acting in an immoral manner, it is acting very foolish if it wants to maintain a democratic Jewish state for more than 40 mire years. Giving Palestinian people a home would most likely result in many, of a growing number of, non Jewish resident voters moving out.
Kashmir is unique in that it was once an independent nation, albeit ruled by a despot of royal descent. Kashmir joined India to keep Pakistan from taking it over. An independent Kashmir free from either nation is unlikely. People there are mostly Muslim, but not keen on being with Pakistan. A possible solution would be to give it more independent local control as an Indian protectorate but Pakistan won't go for that. If given full freedom and both hostile militaries fall back, well, maybe. But again neither side trusts the other.
