Can be something serious or sometimes just the meh factor after the newness rubs off. I've ended up feeling that way over several FB groups and a couple of groups here.

I've made such tender, dear friends on Twitter who later disappeared. It's such a disappointment when that happens.
Yes makes you wonder eh? Did something bad happen in their life ? Did they lose internet? Are they depressed? Wonder and wondering.

I think a lot of newer users leave when they discover that this site has become something very different to the free online dating site it was intended to be. Lots of us stay because of what it's become, of course, but if you're looking for a dating site rather than an alternative social media community you'd probably soon lose interest and look elsewhere.
@Jnei I joined for community after my husband past last June because I'm surrounded by religious nuts and trumpers and needed to connect with people who wouldn't tell me they will pray for me and that Richard was in a better place....
