JOHN PILGER: The War on Venezuela is Built on Lies
(Every major chavista reform was voted on, notably a new constitution of which 71 percent of the people approved each of the 396 article that enshrined unheard of freedoms, such as Article 123, which for the first time recognized the human rights of mixed-race and black people, of whom Chavez was one.)
In a recent post this morning I mentioned the false narrative of repression against Afro Venezuelans coming from the main stream media. This is one of the reasons it is ludicrous to even phantom that notion. For Chavez was an individual of mixed race back grounds. I watched a show last night on FSTV (Free Speech) of a Venezuelan collage professor speaking on the history of Venezuela and the love of its citizens for both Chavez and Maduro. At one point stating Chavez was of Latin, European, and Afro descent.
(Cartoonists in the Venezuelan press, most of which are owned by an oligarchy and oppose the government, portrayed Chavez as an ape. A radio host referred to “the monkey.” In the private universities, the verbal currency of the children of the well-off is often racist abuse of those whose shacks are just visible through the pollution.)
But you might think all media in Venezuela is government run if you only listen to our main stream media and the war lords wanting to invade the country. Another false narrative Abby Martin has debunked also.
(In her 95 years, Mavis Mendez had seen a parade of governments, mostly vassals of Washington, preside over the theft of billions of dollars in oil spoils, much of it flown to Miami. “We didn’t matter in a human sense,” she told me. “We lived and died without real education and running water, and food we couldn’t afford. When we fell ill, the weakest died. Now I can read and write my name and so much more; and whatever the rich and the media say, we have planted the seeds of true democracy and I have the joy of seeing it happen.)
This is what the opposition, private sector, and war lords of the westernized world want to return Venezuela too!
An Ocean of Lies on Venezuela: Abby Martin & UN Rapporteur Expose Coup
"Out Of The Illusion " Group
And now Venezuela is under a country wide blackout. This reeks of CIA. But that's only my opinion
I'm presently trying to get more information on that now! I found it suspicious that Marco Rubio from one report managed to be able to tweet about this merely 3 minutes after the power went out!
I'm not the only one who smelled Spook-instigated destabilization!
Moduro is an authoritarian dictator. That is just the truth. That is why authoritarian Putin supports him and authoritarian Trump(Putin's Puppit) will do nothing of any consequence to over throw him. As usually happens, Socialist Idealism was undermined by authoritarian opportunism in Venezuela. Same thing happened in Cuba, North Korea, and many other places as well. The army supports Moduro not the people. They have no voice. Next we will be told that the majority of Ukrainians support Russian domination and there will be people stupid enough to believe it and repost Russian propaganda on American Social Network sites. Wait and see.
So much for a free thinker. You've been conditioned to believe the illusion our intelligence agencies have the main stream media push for them. Do you still believe Iraq had WMD's also? Please do society a favor and quit following the main stream media! You're missing out on the reality of the world.
@William_Mary Yes and space aliens have been visiting us for years. "The truth is out there." Seriously though for your good and that of the country, you can't believe everything you read on line. There are consequences for "main stream media" when they make mistakes.(Dan Rather etc.) Wherever you are getting "news" has no such consequences.
Your one of the few sensible ones on this website. Perhaps you’d like to join us in the conservative atheist group on this website?
@Trajan61 , which one of us are you directing your comment to?
@William_Mary seminarian of course
@Trajan61 yea, another side to a story and intelligent debate just wouldn't fit into a conservative group I guess. You'd rather have another smart ass over that. Who can make up their own facts to go with the illusions the system puts out there for us. Thanks for the reply and saving me the time though. I highly appreciate it!
@William_Mary If you’d study a little history you’d realize socialism just doesn’t work. Look at Cuba or North Korea.
@Trajan61 if you studied a little history you'd realize, as experts have warned, capitalism will eventually eats itself. Take a good look around the world. That's capitalism eating itself. And they've let it go so long that the planet is now about to eat us. And they know this and still refuse to take steps towards slowing that process down. SO much we've already reached the tipping point. And guess what. Those people you are supporting, are going to let it eat, if not you, the family you leave behind, because they don't care about you and more than they care about me. They're in a position to ride it out and let us eat each other. They've known this since the 60's and played it out this way for their benefit. North Korea isn't a socialist country for one thing. It's an authoritarian ruled country. Obviously, when it comes to Cuba, your stuck in the rhetoric of the illusion the establishments media has you believing. Good luck with your ideology though. It's been interesting. Unempire
@William_Mary You don’t sound like a conservative at all. More like a liberal troll. Goodby.
I think that Brazil will entry in this war against venezuela,if it happens i will not go to war my neighbors
the sad truth is that only about a small % of the populace really know what's going on re venezuela & of those numbers i doubt if more 10 or 15% really care
Tulsi Gabbard:
"The United States needs to stay out of Venezuela. Let the Venezuelan people determine their future. We don't want other countries to choose our leaders--so we have to stop trying to choose theirs."
The first thing the Trump supported opposition party wants is the privatization of oil which ought to be a clue. US's actions are the height of duplicity. We place restrictive sanctions on the nation which starves the poor and then the US tries to ship so called 'emergency' items to the country to feed the poor...complete BS.
