Why do so many southern and central American countries yell go home yankee but then try to migrate here?

gee could it possibly be that there is a difference between not wanting the american government to bypass their elections and install dictators in their countries, and wanting to escape being raped by the gangs who have free rein because said dictators can't run their countries? maybe if we didn't interfere with their politics, their countries wouldn't be so dreadful that escape was the only way to survive!

Because we cause so much trouble in their countries. That's why.

Then in modern history why do they ask us back to do the dirty work?

@Marine they don't ask us back. I agree with genessa. Unfortunately, we have caused massive pain and suffering in Latin America. Mostly because of business interests.

Past intervention under the Monroe Doctrine. They still call for us for disaster and when they wish to rid themselves of a dictator. I participated in two of the latter events and almost missed my wedding because of one of them. I am confused about them wanting it both ways.

Ya,leaving the Bride to be waiting at the altar,kinda scores high on the "Don't want to go there" scale,hurt feelings,veiled death threats, and flat tires,some Women get way beyond angry......
