Any other ship people out there? I was on the Universe Explorer on Semester at Sea in 2003. We left Vancouver BC and came back in to Florida. Amazing trip. I also did a couple of short contracts for Holland America on the Zuiderdam and the Amsterdam. I miss being on ships! Sometimes I dream about running away to work on ships again.

I spent seven years in the Coast Guard, five of them attached to ships, and a bit over 4 years of continuous sea time. I miss the vastness of the ocean, the sunrises and sunsets, the feel of the ocean below me (except when it was really rough), and the smell of the ocean.
