Just saw a quote from Pence "abortion will end in our time". Why are these people so hung up on the sanctity of fetuses?

In my neck of the woods I know folks that vote almost exclusively on abortion, the second amendment or making any changes that would help the environment recover especially climate change issues. To them they're just black/white issues.

It's not "sanctity of fetuses" ( though I do thank you for a new description ). It is the cold indifference towards a human life. The expendibility of all human life is abominable. To kill for convenience is unspeakable.
