This unusual spot in Michigan is on my bucket list.

Isle Royale is an island of the Great Lakes, located in the northwest of Lake Superior, and part of the U.S. state of Michigan. The island and the 450 surrounding smaller islands and waters make up Isle Royale National Park. Wikipedia

Look like an interesting place to go.

Yes, it would. It's remote, but the wildlife, flora and terrain would be amazing.

I would love to see Isle Royal too, but mostly for it's moose and wolves.

Yes! That would be lovely as well!

Sounds like a nice place.

I haven't been to the island but I have been to the UP, and it's gorgeous. ?

I want to see a pic of that boulder

I've usually heard it referred to as an island not a boulder but...
Siskiwit Lake contains several lake islands, including Eagle Nest Island, Teakettle Island, Lost and Found Island,[2] and Ryan Island, the largest. Common loons nest and breed on some of these islands.[2]

Ryan Island contains Moose Flats, a seasonal pond, which contains Moose Boulder. When Moose Flats is flooded, Moose Boulder becomes the largest island in the largest lake on the largest island in the largest lake on the largest island in the largest lake in the world by surface area.[5][A] – Treasure Island (which is larger than Ryan Island) in Lake Mindemoya (which is larger than Siskiwit Lake, but not the largest lake on Manitoulin Island, which is Lake Manitou) on Manitoulin Island (which is larger than Isle Royale) in Lake Huron is believed to be the world's largest island in a lake on an island in a lake. Treasure Island may[speculation?] also contain ponds (as do several lake islands in Manitoulin Island)[6][7][8] which may[speculation?] contain rocky islands larger than Moose Boulder. But Lake Huron is not the largest lake in the world.)[B]

I think there is one too many islands and lakes mentioned.

I don't believe so.

@BeeHappy Where is the last island and lake? Royale in Superior. Royale contains a pond with a boulder - the second "lake & island". Where is the third? It would have to make N&S America an "island" and the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans "the lake". Very messy.

@FrayedBear

  1. Isle Royale in Lake Superior
  2. Ryan Island in Siskiwit Lake
  3. Moose Boulder in Moose Flats (a seasonal pond)

@BeeHappy Where is Siskiwit lake? On Royale?
Where is Moose Flats? On Ryan?

The map does not show that. It only shows Superior and Royale.

@FrayedBear yes and yes. See my comment to @btroje.

@BeeHappy that I cannot see because she is one of the retarded members who has me blocked for having the temerity to call her out on an inappropriate post and photograph in a group of hers. It was promoting violence and the creation of fright/disgust/horror in innocent viewers in a restaurant.

@BeeHappy But your post is about Lake Superior and Royale Island. This is getting as bad as that skit of "who is on third base" only in this instance it seems to be smoking bad dope and taking steroids!

@FrayedBear LMAO. Just let it go... lol
