I would hazard a guess, in the wrong direction. It's all those warning labels they put on everything. It screws up the natural selection, and the thinning of the herd. Take those warning labels off of everything and watch how the stupid gene eliminates itself........... What kind of ideas do you expect at three thirty in the morning?
If we want to exercise, what are the environment pressures nowadays?
Longer reproductive life for woman (starting having kids after 30, so the longer they keep ferile, more offspring).
Resistance to diseases (that is a continuous dispute between diseases and us).
Less need to fat storage or capacity to use more energy as we can produce by far enough food.
Increased abstract cognition as theorethical careers tends to give more economic (and maybe reproductive success).
But anyway, our memetical evolution is way faster than our genetical, and the world changes so fast that there is no really time for the genes to be selected. Maybe we will start to develop more epigenectics responses that we barely understand, but seems to be a mechanism of fast adaptation on individual or close generations level, for example making children of parents that went for long starvation periods have more chances to store fat and be obese as the starvation period ended (think like the parents hunger triggered a starvation mode in the offspring).
