I came across this Meetup in Tampa, on Socrates Cafe, on ethics. Fascinating subject, BTW on whether we have a responsibility to care for nature. Should be interesting.

Good, have a good time. I attended the one in West Palm Beach several times, it was well attended and the discussions were generally very good. The key is the moderator who controls who says what and guides the discussion. The meeting in WPB is held in a Church basement and the moderator is a pastor & local professor of philosophy, who came out against Planned Parenthood (at a meeting) due to doctored tape. After that I have attended very infrequently (coffee and homemade desserts are good).

It is in a public library and they encouraged atheists and agnostics. I can sniff out a god ambush a mile away. Any of that religious angle stuff and I will be out of there!
